dear reader;
I'm never going to go into interior decorating.
Ok, so we went to IKEA to get a TV stand/display thing for the living room, saw a pretty cool and chic one, except we want to make it so that the display bookcase thing covers the entire wall. So yeah, we had to change all the arrangements and stuff from the preset to cover our almost 6m wall. :|
SO I DECIDED TO USE THE DESIGN ONLINE PROGRAM, which they had at IKEA. Except they didn't have some of the products, so we had to substitute. Basically, it took 2 hours on the computer, since it was just weird, and it was technology. THEN MY RENTS DECIDED THAT IT WAS PROBABLY A BIT TOO OTT to cover the entire wall, so we might just be getting this cabinet instead. TT
And we have this annoying long window smack bang in the middle of the wall, as well as 2 lights on the sides, which we hardly ever use, so we have to measure the whole room/wall again, to make sure that everything's taken into consideration and stuff. AND THE GRAND PIANO TOO.
YEY.
After IKEA, went around Rhodes, because it's pretty cool and stuff. I wanted to get stuff from TYPO! Except um yeah. I didn't. :|
After Rhodes, we drove to Bunnings, to get lights.
ZOMG. WHY ARE THERE SO MANY OPTIONS, which look the same. TT
I wanted this dome drop type light in my room for the middle of the ceiling, except my rents cbb to drill a hole in it and potentially kill the whole house. Ok, understanable. :|
Hmm what else did I do...
oh yeah!
Discovered that they had a clearance box of sample paints! YAY. They were only 10c each! So I got 9. :L
I'm going to (eventually) paint this abstract type feature piece for the guest bedroom downstairs, using this cheap paint ;)
The colours are actually pretty good! I'm just going to need a few more brighter ones, but tis ok. YAY for having a white clearance pot! :L
For dinner, we went to SHANGHAI STORIES in Chatswood (Concourse).
OMG IT SUCKED.
Ok first, we had to wait for like forever for a table, even though we could see heaps of empty tables just lying around. Most of them were outside, so when we asked the waitor why we couldn't just sit outside, his reason was that their system wasn't ready. OK WTF.
Then, once we finally got a table and sat down, it took ages for the waitor to realise that we needed a menu and stuff. And they only gave us 1. WTF. WHO GIVES A TABLE of 3 one menu?!
*deletes heaps of ranting*
We ordered these dim sims right, which you just HAVE to have vinegar for, except they didn't give us. WHO DOESN'T GIVE OUR VINEGAR? :@
Oh yeah, so the cutlery and stuff was really fancy. Probs CHINA or something, except the plates were chipping already. Lol ok, wtf, didn't it open like yesterday? :\
AND THEY GIVE OUT 2 PAIRS OF CHOPSTICKS, 1 massive soup spoon, and a tiny asian spoon. ... *deletes more ranting*...
Far out, Shang cuisine is not that fancy.
Shanghai Stories Chatswood is not as good as the one in Ashfield.
day 308: what are the memories you have from first grade?
My first grade teacher... Hmm... she was young-ish. I think she was only 25 or something! OMG, She's like 35 now. HOLY COW, SO OLD. She used to be a dancer... umm still was back then I think... oh yeah, and she was a pretty big fan of GUY SEBASTIAN. HAHAHHAHAHAHA. And her name was McDonald. YAY.
until next time;
