day 244 - nbridge comp
Written at 10:19 PM on 02 September 2011

dear reader;

Oh gawd, Today was horrible. Ok not that bad, but Maths test. :(
It was alright I guess.... I already know that I didn't get any of the last questions though. *sigh*

After maths, I had art, so that was alright. Except we just tried to finish/start our lino-designs, which um yeah, I doubt will be finished by the end of this term. I started... and finished a really dodgy design. ... Yeah...

Then science and Pd, can't really remember what I did in them. I think we talked about stereotypes on PD though. Because I remember finally realising what a metrosexual was. Is it weird that I thought for a moment that I thought it was someone who caught the metro-buses.......Yeah.

Then, after dinner, I went to the opening ceremony thing for the Northbridge art prize. Um... I think some how, my works ended up landing in category 1, which is the acrylic /oil/multi media on canvas/board.

Fml.

So then, I didn't win anything. :( Lol.
Ok so basically, the reason why I think my works were in category 1 and not category 4 was because my dad sent them in. They charged my dad $60, when it was only supposed to be $40 (to enter 2 works in for the youth prize) :(.

The judges then announced that each category was designated like a room. My works were both in the first room... when ALL the other youth works were in this room in the back. :(

So yeah... kinda annoyed. D<
Like seriously, the NSG art department decided to like overtake the youth section or something, so out of the thirty or so entrants (for youth) only 4 weren't entered by NSG themselves. Yeah... i heard locally, and not from NSG. Ugh.
So the girl who won, was this girl in yr 11 at NSG - the one who did the pictures of Mr. Smith. She actually came.. and yeah. Was very umm... OMG I WON... even though they actually notified her before. But I still congratulated her... being the good person I am...

I might go in again tomorrow, and just ask them about it, being the Asian I am and stuff.
