day 235 - art exhibition...
Written at 10:01 PM on 24 August 2011

dear reader;

Today was the opening of the NSGHS Art Exhibition.

It was alright
Every year that I've been, they've always started the presentations/opening late. By around an hour...
Anyway; awesome work was displayed.
But how is it even possible that I had more digital media works on display than actual VA....
The only year 9 visual arts thing which was displayed was the paper sculpture (book) which was one of the dodgiest things that I've ever made...
But somehow my really big junk looking sculpture was on display.... and a few photos. Oh yeah, there was some projection animation onto this weird structure hting on display too... except I couldn't tell what they were even trying to produce.....

Did you know that the costumes from the year 7 Wizard of Oz which the teachers wore were all hand made?!! Well that's what I think... because there were bits of dodgy stitching here and there... But omg... they must have a lot of spare time on their hands or something...
The back area of the hall was full of stuff from year 7 and 8. Um yeah.... I think the stuff we did for Alice in Wonderland was cooler though! >P

Yeah.
The year 12 BoW were really good too! There was this really pro lino turned sculpture work... which must've taken AGES because of well.. everything. It was like the Blasco assignment that we all did... except on a much more intricate, detailed, and pro scale of course... Man who ever did it must have a really good perspective or smth.

There were a few oil paintings too. Umm... I don't think I'll ever have the patience to do anything that intricate..... Oh and there was this other set... it was either like watercolour/acrylic mounted on white card which was really good too! They painted their dad and grandad in like their Chinese heritage background sorta theme.

But to be honest, I think last year's exhibition was better. The year 12's works were bigger :L and had a grander scale... Like they did 3 massive paintings as opposed to a million really small ones. But overall, everyone did an awesome job!
I shall stop my ramble on the exhibition now.

day 235: if your six year old self looked at you now, what would their reaction be?
HOW DID YOU GET SO TALL!?

until next time;
