day 213 - Icas comp
Written at 10:48 PM on 02 August 2011

dear reader;

Today was the ICAS competition in period three, which resulted in using up my art period. Which I was looking forward to, sort of. What else did I do today? :S

Um Maths - Oh we had Mrs. Lindsay, and we did a past paper for the AMC. The questions are so hard! >( It's pretty ridiculous that the last question is worth ten points!! It's like... the jackpot if you get it right. :S

In Philosophy we had another substitute. It's that short, English, "aged" lady, who looks slightly like a frog if she smiles. We started/continued on with our harmony group presentation prep work. Haha, yeah, group work with a substitute... everyone does that.. We brainstormed a couple of songs which we could base our presentation on. Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On" is one of them. Haha.

Last period was English with Ms. Meldrum. We did some stuff on documentaries. Our test is next Wednesday. Why are there so many tests these few weeks! Two this week, one next week and I think I'm missing something else important here... Oh well. Anyway, we started our documentaries group thing. And as always, we just took the whole lesson figuring out who was with who, because you know, everyone loves everyone and shizz.

Then after school, I went to the Chinese herbalist doctor in Chinatown because I'm cool like that. He prescribed me another batch of medicine, which hopefully, won't taste as bad as the other ones did. After, I went and bought emperor puffs because I was hungry, walked to Morning Glory because I wanted to see if they had Angry Bird slippers (which they didn't!) and walked back to the emperor puff bakery. My dad still wasn't back from the Chinese medicine dude (they had to put together the batches of medicine... Ok, does anyone know the right terminology here?), so I bought a "Glutinous rice with shredded Pork" thing from Chu Mama. <- Yep, I'm awesome at Chinese.

Awkward moment when I went to order though, because I quite literally asked for "that thing wrapped in rice...". I think the waitress was silently laughing at me, and asked "glutinous rice with shredded pork?" Note that all of this was in English. But it was yummy, which was all that mattered!

Oh and my dad got my artwork from the council hall today. Apparently the ladies serving him had a nice long meaningful conversation with him, which is probably bullshizz since my dad knows very little English. But he said something that my teacher was Adam Chang I think... apparently they actually knew who he was!

day 213who/what can’t you live without?

until next time;
