well.
today i had my first ever, philosophy class :OO
it was.... interesting.
we did some stuff to do with dualism philosophy and materialism philosophy.
Dualism is the theory that the mind and body are different parts in the body. Duo, meaning two, can also include the existence of two contrasting things such as Good and Evil or God and Devil.
Materialism is the theory that physical matter is the only reality and that everything including thought, feeling, mind and will can be explained in terms of matter and physical phenomena.
yeah....
i was a little confused at first. ... but it made sense by the end of the lesson :)
it's a little scary... how technical and in depth the discussions can get though o.o
in science today, ms foley went into one of her scary mood swings o.o
she fully went crazy over the people who didn't do their homework. thank god i did mine XP
but afterwards, she was all nice, as though nothing ever happened o.o
yeah, so we did a couple of experiments
one was to compare the amount of carbon dioxide in soft drinks.
and the other experiment was to prepare the compound carbon dioxide
it was very pretty :)
-it turned from dark blue to green...to yellow...to red- reverse raibow colours basically :)
...the red meant it was really acidic :O
ahh and then we had sport.
sailing. is quite fun 8D
since it was very...windy today, we were split into 2 groups. so it was mainly yr 9's in one group and yr 10's in the other :L one group went out into the water, and the other group did theory. then we switched over.
yeah, there's theory to sailing T.T
we learnt about the importance of the weather, wind directions and how to tie some basic knots. it was a little boring >_>
then we swapped, so we we were out into the water.
as it was our first time "proper" sailing (i.e. with the actual sail :L) we each had an instructor with us on the boat.
GAH .
which meant
that i had to sit on the BOW. - the front- of the boat.
which meant me getting very wet.
but it was pretty cool ;)
ok, really cool.
and relaxing :D
but mostly cool.
i felt a little like johnny depp captain jack sparrow from pirates of the caribbean :*
day 45: when was the last time you tried something new
haha today. after school- i had a choc chip cookie from subway 8D
wait...maybe i've tried it before, but i don't remember it...
YAY.
i just finished my epic science atom model :D:D:D:D
i think this is the first time
that i've finished an assignment in one night.
and 3 nights before it's due ^^
will post a picture later :P
