dear reader;
have you ever had a relative come over from another country; a relative who constantly clings onto you/needs you to cling onto them? welcome to my life. -_-
let's go back to after my post on saturday, the day that i started blogging again, and said that i was going to bake a cake....
my dad decided that he wanted to go and see shen jia wei's (i think that's how you spell it....) exhibition.. "because its like the only chinese artist exhibition that your aunt and uncle would be interested in". and where was this? in GYMEA. It was ok i guess, but most of the works that were there were influenced by the cultural revolution ..stuff. ANDDDD the artist didn't exactly use his own ideas.
the rest of his paintings that weren't cultural-revolution /chinese themed were pretty much just adaptations/ appropriations(<- yeah, thanks ms cheney:L)- of other works. eg there was one where he copied the Michaelangelo painting...of people flying naked........yeah i cbb to look up the exact title/picture...called "The last Judgement"....
......but anyway my point being that he just added two randoms in to make it his own. <__<
not exactly my interest/relevance. T.T .... and i don't think my aunt/uncle liked it either, since all the panels/brochures etc were in english :LL .....and they tell me that my chinese is fail. >____> click here if you're interested in seeing the exhibition :L .
and THennnnnnnn after going to that exhbition, we went to like kogarah bay or smth and took photos. or at least my uncle did... and then i had a KFC twister for dinner... since we ended up just staying at the beach/bay til like 6:20...and then my parents remembered that i had art and that i had to buy dinner for me. >___>
and then on SUNDAY; i accompanied my aunt and uncle again T_T
to watson's bay.
apparently they left the house at like 8 in the morning O_O
and walked from milson's point...and across the harbour bridge...to circular quay...
and shopped around the rocks markets.
and then took a cruise O___O
all before 10:30am!
and because i was acting as a good little asian kid, i took my laptop and science worksheets with me. :LLL
..which resulted in my uncle tryi explaining everything on the worksheet in shang to me. didn't end up understanding...anything. T_T blergh.
who knew being a tourist could be so boring.
and so TODAY...i had food tech first. turns out that we're not making the cake from scratch...we're gonna use like cake-mix ... home-brand. yay. :\
but decorating should be fun ^^
but we have to wait til FRIDAY. since ESSA decided to ruin it for us. T_T
andddd we watched sydney white in english today.
oh how i love the reports-are-over-and-it's-just-chilling-time of the year :)
and helped set up the hall for ESSA. fml man... like why does science just have to ruin the reports-are-over-and-it's-just-chilling-time of the year? T___T
and how do you use a skin man??!?!?!?
i tried 5 different ones today; but they it always says like "tags are not closed properly"...or smth like that. =='' aish.
man this post was long.
